Skin & Radiance with Hydrogen

Hydrogen-rich water has been the subject of numerous research studies investigating its potential health benefits across various conditions. Here is a synopsis of some key research studies below and their findings on the effects of hydrogen-rich water:

  1. Positive effects of hydrogen-water bathing in patients with psoriasis and para psoriasis en plaques (Zhu, Q., et al., 2018) This study explored the benefits of hydrogen-water bathing in patients with skin conditions like psoriasis. The results showed positive effects of hydrogen-water bathing in alleviating symptoms and improving skin health.
  1. Hydrogen ameliorates oxidative stress in UVB-induced skin cells (Zhang, B., et al., 2018): The research focused on how hydrogen can reduce oxidative stress in skin cells exposed to UVB radiation through the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway. The findings suggested that hydrogen could help protect skin cells from UV-induced damage.
  1. Electrolytically generated hydrogen warm water promotes skin health (Tanaka, Y., et al., 2018): This study demonstrated that hydrogen-rich warm water could cleanse hair pores and enhance blood circulation in the skin more effectively than regular warm water. This could potentially benefit skin health and overall well-being.
  1. Effects of hydrogen-occluding-silica micro particles on wound repair (Li, Q., et al., 2018): The research investigated the effects of hydrogen-occluding-silica micro particles on wound healing and cell behaviour in oesophageal epithelial cells. The results indicated potential benefits for wound repair and cell migration.
  1. Hydrogen gas inhalation protects against cutaneous ischaemia/reperfusion injury (Fang, W., et al., 2018): This study explored how inhaling hydrogen gas could protect against skin injuries caused by ischemia/reperfusion. The findings suggested that hydrogen gas inhalation could be beneficial in preventing skin damage.

All the studies below collectively suggest that hydrogen-rich water may have positive effects on skin health, wound healing, oxidative stress reduction, and protection against radiation-induced damage.
